Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality’s SOCIAL restaurant chain has launched its 57th outlet, Connaught Place SOCIAL, in Delhi, India.

The new Connaught Place SOCIAL café is a tribute to the area’s cultural and architectural history, offering the brand’s unique work-play environment infused with nostalgia.

Impresario Entertainment & Hospitality managing director Riyaaz Amlani said: “The new SOCIAL is a tribute to the postmen, the telegram messengers and the scribes of the past – unsung heroes who connected lives across miles.

“Connaught Place was once the heart of these stories, where letters carried love, news and dreams. We wanted to honour that legacy by creating a space that blends nostalgia with the vibrancy of today. Connaught Place SOCIAL is a place to relive history, forge new memories and celebrate the art of meaningful connection. This outlet is all about keeping Connaught Place’s spirit alive while giving the next generation a place to make it their own.”

Connaught Place SOCIAL blends colonial-era elements with modern design, featuring vintage currency notes, postal stamps, locker rooms and sorting tables reminiscent of classic banks and post offices.

The walls showcase framed vintage postcards, letters and envelopes, while lost letter facts are depicted through art. Money order rates and telegram charges from the past are also displayed, reflecting historical record-keeping.

A grand oval-shaped island bar inspired by British-era teller windows serves as the centrepiece.

Service counters reflect traditional post office sorting tables, while deep reds, greens, lime-washed walls and wooden textures add historical charm.

Lush greenery throughout the space nods to Connaught Place’s past, when postmen delivered letters across a forested landscape.

Connaught Place SOCIAL’s food, cocktails and atmosphere are said to make it an ideal spot for professionals, entrepreneurs, artists and culture enthusiasts.
