Sodexo has opened its first outlet of smoothie and healthy fast food retailer Crussh at the City, University of London as part of the franchise partnership.

With 35 Crussh stores across London Sodexo signed the franchise partnership with Crussh in May last year to open new outlets across the UK and Ireland.

Former England rugby player and Sodexo ambassador Matt Dawson attended the opening of the first Crussh outlet since the franchise partnership was signed last year.

Located at the university’s main building in Northampton Square, London, the new location will offer a wide range of food and drink options.

The outlet will feature a range of breakfast options, including porridge, scrambled or poached eggs along with healthpots, salads, wraps, sourdough toasties, and hot food options such as hot pot, hot grain salads, soups and Crussh’s Fit Bowls.

“We are looking forward to bringing this innovative and healthy brand to more of our clients and customers in the near future.”

Drinks served at the new location include Crussh cold press juices such as Brilliant Beets, Oh My Greens, Strawberry Glow, Turmeric Zinger, Cherry Vit C, and Immunity Plus.

Sodexo UK & Ireland universities managing director Simon Knight said: “We are delighted to welcome Crussh at City, University of London. The University is committed to promoting healthier eating habits for both staff and students and the introduction of Crussh as one of our catering offers helps support the University to achieve this.

“Matt Dawson is an ambassador for Sodexo, having him with us on our opening day helped us engage with the staff and students about the importance a healthy diet and lifestyle has on their performance.

“We are looking forward to bringing this innovative and healthy brand to more of our clients and customers in the near future.”

Crussh CEO Shane Kavanagh said: “We can’t wait to get going and think this is a great opportunity to positively impact the wellbeing of students and staff onsite.”

Sodexo has been offering catering and hospitality services at the City, University of London since 2014.
