Foodservice and facilities management company Sodexo has established a partnership with fast-casual salad concept Saladworks to offer salads at colleges and universities across the US.

Saladworks offers made-to-order salads and a range of complementary menu items such as warm grain bowls, wraps and soups.

Customers across universities and schools can now place orders in-person or online for pick-up or delivery where available.

“We are focused on offering guests with all types of dietary needs and nutritional preferences an option that is right for them.”

Saladworks CEO Patrick Sugrue said: “We are excited to continue bringing fresh, healthy options to college students across America. We have seen Generation Z and Millennials alike embrace our create-your-own and speciality salad options.

“We are focused on offering guests with all types of dietary needs and nutritional preferences an option that is right for them. We know this partnership will be fruitful, and we are looking forward to continuing to open locations on college campuses in the coming years.”

This deal complements the Sodexo’s ‘Love of Food’ consumer-centric approach to offer healthy and balanced food choices across its campus dining locations.

Earlier this month, Sodexo partnered with vegan restaurant chain Veggie Grill to offer a plant-based menu at university campuses.

Last year, the company introduced new plant-based menus with more than 200 recipes in collaboration with the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and the World Resource Institute-Better Buying Lab (WRI).

Saladworks operates 100 restaurants across 13 US states and two countries.
