American fast food restaurant chain Sonic Drive-In has added Cookie Jar Shakes to its menu in a bid to provide new flavour experiences to its customers.
Made with Sonic’s real ice cream, the Cookie Jar collection is available in three flavours; Chips Ahoy choco chunky chocolate shake, Oreo caramel shake and Nutter Butter banana shake.
The Chips Ahoy shake is a blend of chips ahoy choco chunk cookies and chocolate syrup. Oreo caramel is made using Oreo cookie and caramel syrup, and Nutter Butter contains peanut butter, nutter butter cookies and banana.
The three flavours will be topped with whipped cream and a cherry and are currently available for a limited time at participating restaurants.
Sonic Drive-In product innovation and development vice-president Scott Uehlein said: “What’s better than adding sweet, crunchy, classic cookies onto creamy, delightful ice cream? Hand-mixing those cookies with our real ice cream for an all new flavour experience.
“We reached into the cookie jar to come up with these shakes, punching up the flavour of these classic cookies – Chips Ahoy, Oreo and Nutter Butter – with the addition of rich chocolate, sweet caramel and fresh banana to give our guests something that is both familiar and distinct at the same time.”
