Sonic Drive-In has expanded its menu with the launch of Oreo A La Mode and Cinnabon Cinnasnacks A La Mode.

Oreo A La Mode comprises battered and fried Oreo biscuits, while the Cinnabon Cinnasnacks A La Mode is a flakey pastry with a cinnamon-flavoured centre. Both items are served with Sonic’s Real Ice Cream.

Sonic product innovation and development vice-president Scott Uehlein said: “Balancing the richness of your favourite warm dessert with the refreshing creaminess of ice cream has become common practice for a reason.

“With the new Oreo and Cinnasnacks A La Mode, we took what many traditionally do with a pie or brownie fresh from the oven to create an entirely new experience.”

Available for a limited time, the quick-service restaurant (QSR) chain is offering both the items for $2.99.

Last November, the company added Fritos Chili Cheese options to its menu, including Fritos Chili Pie, Fritos Chili Cheese Jr. Wrap and Fritos Chili Cheese Jr. Burger. It also introduced the Quarter Pound Double Stack Cheeseburger.

Sonic currently operates more than 3,600 drive-ins serving approximately three million customers every day.
