US-based software and payments company SpotOn Transact has acquired reservation management company Seatninja for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition is part of SpotOn’s efforts to support restaurants in adjusting and operating their businesses during the Covid-19 pandemic, and meeting customer demand.
SpotOn has been providing restaurants with technologies such as dine-in, online ordering, contactless ordering and payment.
SpotOn co-founder Zach Hyman said: “Our clients and businesses nationwide are having to adapt how they run their businesses.
“We have long admired what the Seatninja team has been building and feel that integrating their software into our product suite will give restaurants the tools to streamline their operations.”
Following the deal, Seatninja is now known as ‘SpotOn Reserve’. It caters to chains, regional brands and individual restaurants across the US such as Maggiano’s, Outback Steakhouse, Dewey’s Pizza and Mikuni Sushi.
