SSP has unveiled The Vinery, its first premium wine bar and restaurant at London’s Heathrow Airport.
Located in Terminal 2, the new restaurant and bar offers an extensive wine list, a curated menu featuring local ingredients, and a tailored dining experience with recommended wine pairings.
The Vinery aims to cater to passengers with its all-day dining options, from a full English breakfast to artisan cheese platters, and more than a third of the menu is plant-based or vegetarian.
The restaurant company noted that its new venue has been designed to draw in customers with a 360° seamless screen displaying bespoke imagery.
The tailored food menu, focusing on dishes made-to-order with local produce, includes offerings from H Forman & Son and Paul Rhodes Bakery.
Each dish is paired with a recommended wine to enhance the dining experience. Breakfast options range from a full English breakfast to lighter choices such as smashed avocado on toast.

SSP’s commitment to sustainability is evident in The Vinery’s menu, which features no beef and over a third of the options are plant-based or vegetarian.
The wine list features English wines and premium wines by the glass via the Coravin system. The menu includes themed tasting flights, coffee from Extract Coffee Roasters, and classic cocktails.
Digital technology improves the guest experience at The Vinery with Order At Table, a digital wait-time screen, and the option to pre-order menu items.
A Sommelier app, developed with Gusbourne’s Laura Rhys MS, provides wine pairing guidance at special tasting tables. The Vinery will also host “English Wine Weeks” to celebrate local vineyards.

In July, SSP opened a new Starbucks outlet at Terminal 5, in collaboration with Starbucks and Heathrow.
