SSP Group is set to open a Mama Campo restaurant at Madrid Barajas Airport in Spain.
Mama Campo will open at Terminal 4, offering organic dishes, fresh fruit and cold pressed juices.
SSP is also planning to launch grab-and-go unit Slam and a Cooofebar and Pannus restaurant in May 2019 at the airport as part of a €200m eight-year contract to expand the facility’s foodservice locations.
Under the contract, the company opened a La Tramoia restaurant at Barcelona-El Prat Airport in October, as well as a Starbucks coffee shop, an Alas fine dining restaurant in November, and Spanish charcuterie outlet Enrique Tomás this month.
SSP Spain managing director Blanca Ripoll said: “We are delighted to be given the opportunity to introduce customers travelling through Madrid and Barcelona to this outstanding range of food and beverage brands.
“The mix we are offering is based on our detailed knowledge of the travelling consumer in Spain, coupled with our understanding of regional trends.
“These latest wins will allow us to develop and strengthen our highly successful business in Spain.”
La Tramoia offers various Spanish dishes such as tapas and paella, while the new Pannus will offer a range of sandwiches, pastries, cakes and other sweet and savoury treats.
SSP recently introduced the Mama Campo concept at Ibiza Airport.
