Starbucks has expanded its beverage menu with the introduction of Starbucks Iced Energy Beverages, entering the growing energy drinks market.

The new line features three flavours, with caffeine content ranging from 180mg to 205mg.

All flavours are exclusively available in Starbucks’ venti (24-fluid-ounce) size, containing caffeine, vitamins and taurine.

The Iced Energy Beverages come in two in-store flavours, Melon Burst and Tropical Citrus, and a limited-edition Frozen Tropical Citrus Iced Energy with Strawberry Purée available through the Starbucks app.

While the limited edition contains sugar, the standard offerings are sugar-free, and use artificial sweeteners.

Starbucks has stated that the caffeine content in its Iced Energy drinks is comparable to that of its grande-sized Cold Brew.

Detailed information on ingredients and caffeine totals for each flavour is accessible via the company’s website and app.

Starbucks has also launched new non-dairy vanilla sweet cream and vanilla sweet cream cold foam, both made from oat milk and soy milk to cater to the increasing demand for plant-based alternatives.

Starbucks has also broadened its food selection with the addition of the vegetarian Egg, Pesto & Mozzarella Sandwich and the Blueberry Streusel Muffin to its permanent menu.

The sandwich features a cage-free egg frittata, kale and basil pesto, and mozzarella on a toasted cheddar and onion bun.

The muffin is filled with blueberries and topped with a cinnamon streusel.

SSP recently expanded its travel retail alliance with Starbucks with the debut of its airside store at Edinburgh Airport, Scotland.

Located in the departures area, the store has a seating capacity of 75 and provides takeaway service for passengers.
