UK pub company Stonegate Group has announced the reopening of the Spotted Dog, located in Dorking, following a six-figure refurbishment investment.
The renovation has increased the venue’s capacity by 130 seats.
The pub closed on 20 October 2024 for the two-month renovation process during which it underwent significant changes, including the introduction of new features to modernise the space.
Located on South Street, the Spotted Dog now features a new drinks menu that complements the updated interiors.
A revamped food menu will launch in spring 2025.
A refreshed layout and improved lighting create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The beer garden has been upgraded with a raised decking area featuring five sheltered heated booths.
With its proximity to popular walking routes, the pub is claimed to be a favourite stop for those looking to relax with their dogs.
The Spotted Dog’s publican Brian Coughlan said: “We’ve been working hard behind the scenes for the past few months on the renovation works, and it’s been great to welcome guests, both old and new, back to our beloved pub.
“The feedback we’ve received from our guests about how much they love the improved beer garden and all the new features we’ve invested in has been brilliant to hear!
“We know the work completed has not only enhanced our warm and welcoming atmosphere but also strengthened the pub’s community spirit, which was at the heart of our thoughts during the investment.”
The Spotted Dog also caters to those participating in the Dry January alcohol-free challenge and similar initiatives, with an extensive selection of no and low-alcohol options.
Regular live music events and monthly Quiz Nights on the last Thursday of each month offer additional entertainment for locals.
