Stonegate Group has announced the re-opening of the Yates York pub on 2 February 2024 after a £300,000 refurbishment.
Upgrades include new sound and lighting systems, additional TV screens and social media-friendly additions such as an Instagram photo wall and photo booth.
The riverside pub, known for its outdoor beer garden, will celebrate its renovation with an official launch event.
Yates York general manager Kyle Perkins said: “I’m excited to bring my experience and love for hospitality to a refreshed Yates and become a part of your community.
“With the support of my capable team, I aim to create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere at our pub. We want Yates to be a place where you can relax, socialise and have a great time with friends and family as well as a place to watch all sporting events and then party the night away.”
“The team is looking forward to welcoming back regulars and fresh faces alike. Considerable investment has gone into the site to make it the ultimate hangout spot, sports viewing and late-night party venue and we hope our weekly event line-up provides something for everyone.”

This follows a £200,000 investment from the Craft Union Pub Company, a division of Stonegate Group.

The investment has also led to new jobs, contributing to the local economy, and revitalising the pub’s atmosphere.
In November 2023, Stonegate Group reopened the renovated Pembroke pub in Coulsdon, England, following a quarter of a million-pound investment.
The overhauled pub featured added seating, fixtures and fittings, as well as a brand-new sports area equipped with a new pool table and dartboard.
