Canadian all-day breakfast franchise Sunset Grill Restaurants has expanded its menu with the launch of healthier breakfast choices – Sunset Features and Trainer’s Choice.
These new choices feature a Southwest vegan breakfast hash, avocado toast, a burger lettuce wrap and protein breakfast.
The Southwest vegan breakfast hash is a blend of sautéed onion, red pepper and mushrooms, served with diced tomatoes and a side of gluten-free guacamole.
Avocado toast also features the gluten-free guacamole spread on dark rye with feta cheese, tomato, red onion, Kalamata olives and olive oil.
The burger lettuce wrap is made using a 8oz beef burger, tomato, onion and a pickle wrapped in an iceberg head lettuce leaf and served with a side of guacamole.
The protein breakfast features three eggs, a house salad and a choice of Canadian AAA steak or grilled chicken breast.
Sunset Grill Restaurants founder and CEO Angelo Christou said: “Our food and preparation methods are centred around quality, which is never sacrificed.
“All of our menu items are freshly prepared and cooked to order using healthy methods: flat-top grills, pat dry bacon and nothing is ever deep fried.”
Customers can find vegan-friendly selections such as fresh-cut fruit salad, house salad, home fries and sliced tomatoes on the revamped menu.
The company is also offering old menu options such as the Sunset breakfast poutine featuring home fries, peameal-style bacon, sautéed onion, cheddar cheese and Hollandaise sauce.
Based in Toronto, Ontario, Sunset Grill currently operates 82 locations across the country.
