American fast casual restaurant chain Sweetgreen has expanded its menu with the introduction of the BBQ Salmon protein plate.
This addition is part of the restaurant chain’s “New Year, Full You” campaign, through which it aims to provide customers with nutritious and protein-rich meal options.
The BBQ Salmon protein plate is designed to cater to those seeking a high-protein diet.
It features 33g of protein, which comes from Sweetgreen’s salmon roasted in olive oil.
The plate is served alongside wild rice, roasted sweet potatoes, and housemade veg slaw, topped with a honey BBQ sauce.
This sauce, developed in partnership with Chef Charlie McKenna of Lillie’s Q, is only available at Sweetgreen. It is sweetened with honey and date syrup rather than processed sugars, or artificial stabilisers or preservatives.
