American fast-casual restaurant chain Sweetgreen has opened its maiden location in Uptown Charlotte, North Carolina.

Located at 101 North Tryon Street, Suite 101, the new Sweetgreen Uptown site spans 2,479ft² and can accommodate up to 42 diners inside, with 26 additional seats on the patio.

Customers looking for convenience can place orders for pickup or delivery through the Sweetgreen website or by using its app.

The menu at Sweetgreen features a variety of salads, warm bowls, protein plates, and sides.

Longtime favourites such as the Harvest Bowl and Crispy Rice Bowl remain on the menu, complemented by protein-rich dishes such as Miso Glazed Salmon and Steakhouse Chopped.

The launch of Sweetgreen’s North Carolina outlet coincides with the introduction of their latest menu, which celebrates autumnal flavours.

The new offerings include three limited-time items – the Autumn Harvest Bowl, Maple Glazed Brussels + Chicken protein plate, and the Maple Glazed Brussels + Sweet Potatoes side.

Sweetgreen co-founder and CEO Jonathan Neman said: “We’re so grateful for the warm welcome and excitement around Sweetgreen coming to North Carolina to join the Queen City.

“As we expand across the Carolinas, we’re looking forward to teaming up with local partners in the Southeast to serve fresh delicious meals to the community.”

Earlier this month, Sweetgreen announced the opening of its inaugural location in Ohio, located in Columbus.

Situated at 700 North High Street, the new 3,605ft² restaurant has seating for 46 customers.

It features an open kitchen design, enabling customers to see the preparation of freshly made dishes.

The venue will offer items like the Harvest Bowl and Crispy Rice Bowl, along with the newly launched Caramelized Garlic Steak.
