Tex-Mex chain Taco Cabana has announced plans to elevate its beverage offerings by introducing Casa Alta Tequila to its Texas locations in the US.
From August 2024, the Tex-Mex chain will incorporate this small-batch, hand-crafted tequila into its margaritas, initially in San Antonio then followed by a broader rollout.
Casa Alta Tequila is made from 100% blue agave, sourced from the highlands of Jalisco.
With its bright, fruity notes and a savoury palate, the new tequila will be an ideal match for the bold flavours of Taco Cabana’s margaritas.
Casa Alta Tequila’s entire farm-to-bottle production process is overseen by a second-generation farming family. The family operates one of largest tequila distilleries in Mexico, spanning more than 10,000 acres.
In a bid to create an eco-friendly product that minimises environmental impact, the distillery uses solar energy and the composting of agave fibre waste.
