
Loob Holding, owner of Malaysian tea beverage chain Tealive, plans to open 80 outlets in Thailand by 2035.
Loob has signed a licensing agreement with Bangkok-based Restaurants Development (RD), known for operating 300 Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets in the country.
RD is a subsidiary of Devyani International, the master franchisee of Tealive in India.
Loob Holding founder and CEO Loo stated: “Tealive, known for always offering more than tea, will introduce its lifestyle tea concept to Thailand, complementing the country’s rich tea culture with additional choices of handcrafted beverages such coffee, premium chocolate and fruit smoothies as well as Tealive’s famous snacks.”
“Our Thai partner is already present in hundreds of locations across the country, and Tealive will leverage this from the start. Actual store locations are still being finalised and, together, we aim for 80 outlets in 10 years.”

Loob will expand Tealive into its ninth and tenth overseas markets, India and Thailand.
Tealive has more than 950 outlets in Southeast Asia, Mauritius and Canada.

Tealive; menu offerings include milk tea, smoothies, chocolate and coffee. It currently serves more than five million consumers every month in Malaysia.
The company also has a presence in Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Mauritius, Myanmar, the Philippines and Vietnam, and will shortly establish itself in the United Arab Emirates.
