Thai Airways International (THAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Thailand-based major bus operator The Transport Company to offer snack boxes and beverages for first class interprovincial passengers.
The MoU is a part of the airline’s strategy to increase revenue from its profit-making business units.
Each snack box features a Thai dessert and bakery product or general dessert with a beverage.
As part of the agreement, THAI Catering will also offer snack boxes with a special dessert menu from each region during the festive holidays.
The company claims that all its bakery items are Halal products and can be consumed by all passengers.
In addition, THAI Catering has received international standards of recognition, such as ISO 900 : 2015, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
In September this year, THAI signed an MoU with the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives and Chachoengsao Province to develop and manage safe agricultural products for the airline’s catering.
As part of the agreement, the airline will source fresh and hygienic vegetables and fruits from Chachoengsao and will use them as quality raw materials in in-flight meals that are served on-board THAI flights.
Thai Airways International Catering currently offers in-flight catering, products, and services to THAI flights and more than 60 customer airlines.
