The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, a coffee and tea house, has signed a master franchise agreement with Ekaagra Ostalaritza for the expansion of its brand in India.

The strategic partnership aims to open 250 cafés across the country up to 2029 – a significant move in the brand’s global growth strategy.

India’s growing coffee and tea market provides fertile ground for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s premium café concept.

With a network of 30 cafés built since its initial entry to the Indian market in 2008, the brand now aims to further capitalise on the country’s evolving café culture and growing demand for high-quality coffee and tea experiences.

Ekaagra Ostalaritza, steered by retail and food and beverages (F&B) investor Prannay Sureka, along with a team of experienced professionals from India’s F&B sector, brings local market expertise to the partnership.

Their strategic insights, combined with the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf’s global reputation, are expected to create a scaleable business model that honours the brand’s legacy of quality and innovation.
