Multinational coffeehouse and restaurant chain Tim Hortons has announced the launch of its Smoky Honey Bacon Breakfast Sandwiches in Canada.

The sandwich features the company’s new and improved crispy double-smoked bacon.

The new Smoky Honey Bacon Breakfast Sandwiches are topped with a sweet and savoury glaze, which is made using 100% Canadian honey.

It added that guests can enjoy the sandwich with a 100% Canadian freshly cracked egg in a classic breakfast sandwich or wrap.

Tim Hortons Culinary Innovation director Tallis Voakes said: “We’re always working on new recipes so we can treat our guests to some exciting and elevated breakfast menu items alongside the classics that they already know and love.

“The sweet taste of 100% Canadian honey with our crispy double-smoked bacon is such a deliciously perfect pairing and Canadians are going to love it.”

The coffeehouse and restaurant chain explained that its new menu addition can be paired with hot brewed coffee or its cold beverages such as an Iced Latte, a Caramel Toffee Cold Brew, or a sparkling quencher in Blackberry Yuzu or Orange Ginger.

Last month, Tim Hortons expanded its menu offerings in Canada with the addition of its Dream Cookies.

The cookie was launched in three flavours: Rocky Road, Reese’s Minis and M&M’S Minis, the Dream Cookies and builds on Tim Horton’s Dream Donut platform.
