Toca Madera, the Mexico City-inspired steakhouse that debuted in 2015 in Los Angeles, California, is to move to a newer and bigger West Hollywood location.
The move comes as the steakhouse approaches its tenth anniversary and reflects a broader evolution of the brand.
Located at 8151 Melrose Avenue, the new 9,200ft² single-storey structure will undergo a complete remodelling to accommodate seating for 250.
Its construction is scheduled to begin in early 2025 with the aim of opening later in the year.
Meanwhile, the current Toca Madera location on West 3rd Street will cease operations on 24 February 2025.
Toca Madera’s management and ongoing expansion are spearheaded by hospitality group Noble 33 in collaboration with the Madera Group.

By GlobalDataNoble 33 co-founder Tosh Berman said: “Toca Madera’s popularity and growth over the last decade has been nothing short of amazing and we are so grateful that Toca Madera has been positively received in each new market it enters.”
“As we looked ahead to the next 10 years, we sought a space that could be shaped and moulded into our vision of Toca Madera Los Angeles – driven by both culinary and design innovation while not limited by the physical structure and smaller footprint.”
This development will feature more modern dining areas and a larger kitchen, enabling an enhanced menu similar to other Toca Madera locations.
Since its inception in April 2015, Toca Madera has grown to include venues in Scottsdale, Las Vegas and Houston, with a Miami opening targeted for 2025.
The West Hollywood outlet will be a 3,000ft² space with retractable roof awnings, a double-height wine room and an open kitchen view.
The design will incorporate Toca Madera’s modern organic aesthetic with biophilic elements, custom woodwork and velvet upholstery.
A wood tunnel from the main dining area leads to a 2,000ft² lounge with fireplaces, where live entertainment will be held.
Corporate executive chef Martin Heierling will lead the West Hollywood menu expansion
With new kitchen facilities, Heierling plans to enhance the venue’s popular dishes such as Sashimi Mexicano and Crispy Wonton Tacos with A5 Wagyu.
The focus will be on a selection of premium steaks from Australia and Japan.
