Japan-based restaurant operator Toridoll Holdings has entered into partnership with Pokéworks to expand the presence of its brand in the poke restaurant sector.

Established in 2015, Pokéworks currently operates around 20 fast-casual restaurant locations with more than 100 locations currently under development across North America. The company plans to expand its network by opening more than 400 locations.

Pokéworks CEO Michael Wu said: “Pokéworks was founded on the idea of bringing high-quality and affordable seafood to the masses and this agreement will no doubt enable us to achieve our long-term vision for the brand and the concept.

“We cannot think of a more sophisticated establishment to partner and further align our values with.”

“It is no secret that Japan is globally recognised as the leaders in fresh and superior sushi cuisine, and we cannot think of a more sophisticated establishment to partner and further align our values with as we continue to grow.”

Toridoll will support the fast expansion of the Pokéworks’ business model by using its expertise in investing and operations.

Pokéworks is planning to strengthen its procedures and propel operations by focusing on higher standards.

Furthermore, Pokéworks is currently looking for multi-unit partners to invest in franchise opportunities with minimal restaurant and labour costs.

The initial franchise fee for Pokéworks is $35,000 with the total single-unit investment ranging from $250,000 to $850,000.

Toridoll Holdings currently operates 1,028 restaurant locations in Japan and 533 locations globally.
