UK-based fast casual Mexican restaurant Tortilla Mexican Grill is set to open its newest location in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 21 July.
This will mark the brand’s debut in Northern Ireland, with the move expected to create up to 30 jobs.
To celebrate the launch, the restaurant will give away free burritos to locals. Fans will first need to register on Tortilla Mexican Grill’s website.
The Irish News reported that Tortilla received planning consent from Belfast City Council to redevelop a shop within the Mayfair Building in the city’s Arthur Square last October.
The Mayfair Building is located between the Victoria shopping complex and Cornmarket.
Located on the ground floor, the shop was earlier used by Google and shoe retailer Hotter and has been vacant since October 2020.
