Nashville-based bagel shop Ugly Bagel has opened its first physical location at 65 Arcade Alley in the Arcade Nashville, an historic enclosed shopping area based on Milan, Italy’s Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele.
The new Ugly Bagel store offers a fully customisable menu, catering to a range of dietary preferences with options that include vegan-friendly choices.
Patrons can select from cream cheese and butter combinations that range from from “light” to “loaded”, along with signature sandwiches and beverages.
The coffee selection features unique blends such as Uggy’s Blend, El Jefe Brew and decaf Cool Beans.
To mark the opening of its flagship store, Ugly Bagel has introduced limited-edition flavours with a monthly flavour drop for November 2024: the Gingerbread Bagel, the Cranberry Walnut Bagel, and seasonal cream cheese varieties Hot Cocoa and Sage & Onion.
Ugly Bagel co-founder Jeff Crabiel said: “Hospitality is our bread and butter.

By GlobalDataIt’s been amazing to see our vision come to life, capturing the energy of downtown Nashville and bringing joy to life’s simple moments, one bagel at a time.”
Ugly Bagel was founded by Jeff Crabiel and Jake Strang, both long-time residents of Nashville with extensive backgrounds in hospitality.
They have instilled a culture that values positive micro-interactions which enhance the overall customer experience.
A key component of this philosophy is the introduction of the Bagel Concierge service — team members who assist guests with mobile orders and manage self-checkout kiosks.
Customers also can watch their bagels being made through the rolling window, providing an immersive experience into the craft behind their food.
This innovative approach aims to elevate the grab-and-go service model with personal touches that create memorable moments for guests.
Ugly Bagel offers a daily event called Ugly Hour, during which customers can enjoy 50% off all bagels, spreads, and coffee while supplies last.
This ensures that products are fresh every day.
Ugly Bagel plans to expand its presence with more locations on the horizon, including one in Wedgewood, Houston.
