US quick-service restaurant chain Uncle Sharkii Poke Bar has announced a partnership with Lee Kum Kee, a producer of Asian sauces, to launch the Teriyaki Chicken Poke Bowl in the US.

The new menu item will feature Lee Kum Kee’s Teriyaki Glaze, a product which is claimed to offer a sweet and savoury taste.

Teriyaki Glaze has been crafted with soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and a selection of other seasonings.

The glaze is suitable for marinating, grilling, or as a dipping sauce, and will now be a permanent addition at all Uncle Sharkii locations, providing customers the option to add it to various poke bowls.

Lee Kum Kee (USA) Mainstream Foodservice and Industrial Sales vice-president Grace Chow said: “We are thrilled to partner with Uncle Sharkii to bring our Teriyaki Glaze to their menu.

“Our glaze is a perfect complement to the fresh seafood and vegetables in poke bowls, and we know customers will love the added depth of flavour it provides.”

Uncle Sharkii’s menu is inspired by Hawaiian cuisine, particularly its signature poke bowls.

The addition of Lee Kum Kee’s Teriyaki Glaze is in line with Uncle Sharkii’s goal to establish itself as America’s preferred poke shop.

Uncle Sharkii marketing director Quynh Vu said: “Teriyaki glaze brings a familiar and beloved flavour to our menu, enhancing our offerings and delighting our customers. It’s a flavour that has been requested by multiple patrons.”

Earlier this month, Lee Kum Kee collaborated with Chef Winnie Yee to unveil a special festive BBQ dish, Sticky Pork Ribs with Chili Crisp Cranberry Glaze, available for a limited time.

Blending smoky barbecue with Asian-inspired flavours, this limited-edition dish elevates Smoke Queen Barbecue’s signature ribs with Lee Kum Kee Chiu Chow Style Chili Crisp Oil, complemented by the tangy sweetness of a traditional holiday cranberry glaze.
