By CHLOE, a US plant-based casual dining restaurant chain, will open its first UK site next week in London’s Covent Garden.

The 70-cover, meat free restaurant will open on Tuesday 6 February on Russell Street.
As well as its regular US menu offerings, several British-inspired meals have been added, such as a vegan takes on fish n’ chips, made up of he crispy tofu served with the classic accompaniments of chips, mushy peas and tartar sauce.

Other plant-based additions include shepherd’s pie, pea n’ ham soup and sticky toffee pudding.

The UK specials will accompany by CHLOE’s signature salads, burgers, fresh pastas and dairy-free ice cream.

Popular dishes include The Guac Burger, Quinoa Taco Salad, Air-Baked French Fries and Mac N’ Cheese.

By CHLOE founder Samantha Wasser said: “London is the perfect fit for our first international location, with one of the world’s greatest and growing food scenes. The ethos of by CHLOE. is to make plant based food affordable, approachable and accessible.

“We are beyond excited to offer our London customers their very own exclusive menu to celebrate our expansion into the UK and look forward to growing our presence from here.”

The London store will mirror the core designs of its nine branches in the US, with banquettes, tabletops and swinging chairs.

By Chloe, owned by American restaurant operator ESquared Hospitality, plans on opening a second UK location at Tower Bridge in spring 2018.
