US-based hamburger chain Wendy’s has announced the launch of its two new English Muffin Sandwiches in Canada.

The restaurant said that its new muffin sandwiches are topped with fresh-cracked Canadian grade A eggs and served with a choice of oven-baked Applewood Smoked bacon or a savoury square sausage patty and finished off with melted cheese.

Customers can purchase the new English Muffin Sandwiches at all Wendy’s restaurants in Canada from 16 October 2023 during breakfast hours.

The Wendy’s Company international culinary innovation manager Hayley Kianoff said: “We’re always looking to serve up fresh takes on breakfast favourites made Wendy’s way to add to our breakfast line-up.

“We tested 60 variations before we landed on these light and fluffy English Muffins made with a touch of honey and topped with fresh-cracked Canadian eggs and delicious bacon or sausage for the perfectly stacked breakfast sandwich.”

The restaurant is offering deals on its new English Muffin Sandwich for all orders through Wendy’s app until 12 November 2023.

Wendy’s suggested that customers can also pair the new savoury sandwich with its signature French Toast Sticks.

Last month, Wendy’s added two pumpkin spice-flavoured drinks to its menu.

The two new drinks, the Pumpkin Spice Frosty and the Pumpkin Spice Frosty Cream Cold Brew, will be available across all its US outlets for a limited period.
