Whataburger is set to commemorate its 75th Anniversary with the return of “fan-favourite” menu items and the introduction of new products.
The celebration will begin on 7 January 2025, with the reintroduction of the Monterey Melt and Chicken Fajita Taco, alongside new limited time offerings (LTO) of Mexican Hot Chocolate Shake and Coffee.
In 1950, Harmon Dobson introduced the five-inch Whataburger in Corpus Christi. Seventy-five years later, the chain is honouring its history with a series of celebratory events and product launches.
The Monterey Melt, an item featuring two beef patties, Monterey Jack and American cheeses, grilled onions and peppers, and Jalapeño Ranch sauce, will make a return after its last appearance in 2022.
The Chicken Fajita Taco, another returning item, will offer a “100%” chicken breast with grilled onions and peppers wrapped in a soft flour tortilla.
To add to the festivities, Whataburger will introduce the Mexican Hot Chocolate Coffee and Shake, infusing the traditional chocolate and cinnamon flavours into both hot and cold beverages.
