American fast-food hamburger chain White Castle has announced a sack of ten Cheese Sliders for a price of $7.99, a significant discount from the regular price of $8.99 in markets such as New York and New Jersey.

The rollback in prices is in response to current inflationary pressures

This new price point breaks down to just under 80 cents per Cheese Slider – comparable to 2011 prices.

Initially trialled in St Louis to celebrate the brand’s 99th anniversary in the region, the deal’s popularity prompted White Castle to extend the offer across all its restaurant markets.

Customers can customise their sack with a mix of cheeses, including American, jalapeño and smoked cheddar.

White Castle vice-president Jamie Richardson said: “Families everywhere are tired of almost needing a small loan when they go out for fast food, and we know these days our customers want to make every penny count. So, we’re giving [them] what they crave: ten […] Cheese Sliders at a price they can’t afford to miss.

“It’s hard to believe, but it was 103 years ago when our founder, Billy Ingram, started White Castle with a simple belief: every family deserves the chance to enjoy hot, tasty and affordable food from a restaurant. The Cheesy 10 Sack deal makes that vision a reality all these years later.”

White Castle re-introduced its Sloppy Joe Sliders and Mac & Cheese Nibblers in November 2023.

It has been offering sliders since 1921.

The chain currently operates 340 restaurants and has a retail division that distributes its products in supermarkets nationwide.

White Castle also manages its own meat plants, bakeries and frozen Slider production facilities.

To facilitate customer engagement, White Castle has also developed an app. Users can join the Craver Nation loyalty programme, access exclusive deals and place orders for pickup at their convenience.

The brand also is continuing its expansion and announced plans earlier in 2024 to open a new location in Goodyear, Arizona.
