US-based hamburger restaurant chain White Castle has partnered with Uber Direct to introduce delivery services as an option within its app.
This option enables the chain to offer delivery through its own channel instead of depending only on third-party apps.
The ordered items will be delivered to the customers at the same prices available at physical White Castle outlets. However, they will have to pay a $4.99 flat delivery charge.
Orders will be delivered within five miles of a White Castel outlet serviced by Uber’s white-label delivery platform, Uber Direct.
The app leverages Uber’s technology to connect each order with a driver or courier for a timely delivery.
White Castle vice-president Jamie Richardson said: “The White Castle app has delivered cravings and savings for customers since it first launched.
