US-based restaurant chain Wingstop has partnered with DoorDash to officially introduce its delivery service.

The delivery service is currently available in Los Angeles, and will begin in Houston from 28 November.

Prior to this launch, the restaurant chain piloted the delivery service in Las Vegas, Chicago, Austin and Denver in collaboration with DoorDash.

Wingstop CEO Stacy Peterson said: “The future of dining is delivery, and we believe that the national partnership with DoorDash is the best way for us to deliver Wingstop flavour to the doors of our fans.

“Wingstop has been one of DoorDash’s most requested restaurants, and we are thrilled to be partnering on a national scale.”

“So, we are excited to begin the official national delivery rollout in two of our largest markets, Los Angeles and Houston. We plan to rollout delivery to 80% of our system by the end of 2019.”

The companies are offering free delivery in Los Angeles for a limited time up until 2 December and will offer this service in Houston from 10 to 16 December.

Customers can place orders for Wingstop’s hand-sauced, tossed wings, and fries and sides using DoorDash’s website and mobile app.

DoorDash business development head Toby Espinosa said: “DoorDash has been working hand-in-hand with Wingstop: integrating fully into their point of sale system, through our innovative DoorDash Drive platform all to ensure operational excellence and top-notch experience for our customers.

“Wingstop has been one of DoorDash’s most requested restaurants, and we are thrilled to be partnering on a national scale.”

Established in 1994, the restaurant chain operates more than 1,200 restaurants across the US as well as nine other countries globally.
