Yoshiharu Global, a restaurant operator offering Japanese ramen and rolls, is set to broaden its international footprint through a strategic partnership aimed at introducing its cuisine to China’s Sichuan Province.

The non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chengdu Octaday Entertainment Group leverages a master licence agreement to tap into a region rich in culture and inhabited by more than 83 million people.

Yoshiharu’s move into Sichuan follows on the heels of its recent non-binding MoU with the Xing Sheng Group to establish a flagship restaurant in the Chinese city of Shenyang.

The latest MoU outlines plans to open new locations within Chengdu Octaday Entertainment Group’s extensive network of 30 corporate-owned and managed hotels across the province, and explore other potential opportunities.

Yoshiharu president, CEO and chairman of the board James Chae said: “I am pleased to announce our new strategic partnership with Chengdu Octaday Entertainment Group and our continued expansion into the Chinese market, the company’s second such announcement this month.

“The opportunity to partner with Chengdu Octaday Entertainment Group presents multiple opportunities to introduce Yoshiharu’s expanding presence and cuisine in Sichuan Province, including Chengdu Octaday’s 30 corporate-owned and managed hotels and theme parks and other destination attractions.
