Restaurant company Yum China has launched its digital supplier recruitment platform at the second China International Supply Chain Expo, taking place in Beijing from 26 November to 30 November 2024.  

The initiative invites high-quality enterprises worldwide to join its supply chain network.  

The platform marks a shift from traditional supplier selection to an interactive and data-driven process, enhancing efficiency and transparency in supplier engagement. 

The new platform allows potential suppliers to submit their credentials online, reducing manual workload and time for evaluation.  

This aligns with Yum China’s “Spend Better, Buy Better” initiative, aiming to connect with global suppliers and deliver better products to Chinese consumers.  

The platform has attracted applications in more than 30 categories since its pilot launch in April 2024.

In early November, Yum China Holdings marked another significant milestone with the opening of the 1,000th KFC store in the province of Guangzhou, China. 

Alongside this landmark store, the 100th KCOFFEE café in Guangdong province was also unveiled, demonstrating the popularity of the combined business model. 

The new KFC store and KCOFFEE café combination highlights Yum China Holdings’ commitment to growth and innovation within the foodservice sector. 

Yum China employs 400,000 people and operates more than 15,000 restaurants under six brands across 2,200 Chinese cities.
