Indian food delivery company Zomato has announced the launch of its Restaurant Services Hub.
The new solution has been designed to serve as a one-stop shop to help restaurants find and collaborate with vendors.
The solution helps restaurants streamline their operations.
During a six-month trial period, the hub serviced more than 3,200 restaurants. It has now been rolled out to all restaurants across India, regardless of their affiliation with the platform.
The hub offers a variety of services, including staffing solutions that range from sourcing candidate profiles from vendors to completely outsourcing the hiring process.
It has also been designed to aid in licensing essentials, critical regulatory requirements such as FSSAI [the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India] registration or renewal, which is mandatory for all foodservice establishments, trademark registration, and goods and services tax registration, which simplifies tax compliance for restaurants in India.

By GlobalDataZomato describes the Restaurant Services Hub as the first step toward its larger objective of creating a comprehensive solution for restaurant owners.
It adds that the company is dedicated to supporting these businesses throughout their lifecycle, from inception and launch to operation and expansion.
Zomato has also announced that it will launch multiple services, including POS [post of sale] integrations and hygiene audits, to assist restaurant partners at every stage of their journey, from planning and launching to operating and scaling their business.
In a statement, Zomato said: “Many restaurants use vendors in order to streamline their operations, especially for specialised services like licensing and hiring.
“This, however, presents an additional challenge. Finding the right agencies, negotiating for good pricing and ensuring good quality of service is a Herculean task for them.
“This is tougher for small to medium-sized restaurants with limited resources, experience, and access to be able to solve for these challenges.”
In April 2024 Zomato tested a priority delivery service that guaranteed faster delivery times for an extra charge.
