A&W Food Services of Canada has expanded its beverage offering by introducing Pret A Manger's organic Classic Blend coffee across all its locations.
The move follows a two-year trial with Pret pop-up shops in select Toronto and Vancouver A&W sites that started in 2022.
Its positive outcome has led to the establishment of Canada's first standalone Pret location at 90 Adelaide Street West in Toronto and paved the way for the nationwide rollout of Pret's coffee in A&W restaurants.
Pret A Manger lead at A&W Canada Scott Darlow said: “Pret Coffee's exceptional quality and taste have won over coffee lovers worldwide, and we're thrilled to bring it to over 1,000 locations across Canada.
“We've tested Pret coffee in select A&W locations where it quickly became a favourite among guests, which led us to make it our official coffee at all A&W restaurants. We're excited to bring this beloved coffee to more Canadians.”
Since its launch in London in 1986, Pret has been known for offering organic coffee.
These principles resonate with A&W Canada's own focus on quality ingredients and sustainable practices.
A&W Canada menu development director Karan Suri said: “With Pret's Organic Blend, we're bringing an extraordinary coffee experience to every A&W location across Canada.
“This coffee brings a uniquely rich flavour profile, with each sip offering a boldly satisfying and fresh taste. We're excited for Canadians to savour Pret's exceptional coffee with every visit!"
In July 2024, A&W Canada partnered Labatt Breweries of Canada to pilot a non-alcoholic beer.
The move made A&W the first quick-service restaurant in Canada to serve non-alcoholic beer options.
