Restaurant brand Ahipoki has revealed plans to open a new venue in Surprise, Arizona, as part of its strategy to grow its footprint across the US.

The new restaurant is scheduled to open in late 2024 at the new retail development, Prasada North.

Prasada North has 350,000ft² of space for retail, including shops such as Kohl’s and Target, as well as restaurants that include Portillo’s and Torchy’s Tacos.

Ahipoki managing partner Jason Jantzen said: “We are excited to move forward with plans to grow our concept in the West Valley and look forward to serving the fast-growing community of Surprise, Arizona.”

The restaurant brand is known across Arizona and California for its customisable poke bowls.

Its signature poke bowl offerings include Tuna Luau, Blazing Salmon, Kimchi Shrimp and other sushi-grade fish such as ahi tuna, salmon and yellowtail.

The poke bowls are garnished with vegetables and feature toppings such as daikon sprouts, seaweed salad and masago served over rice, salad or kelp noodles.

Ahipoki also offers hot bowls, including Teriyaki Chicken and Teriyaki Salmon.

Earlier this year, the restaurant opened its 23rd location in Huntington Beach, California.

Ahipoki will continue this expansion across the state by opening two additional restaurants in Elk Grove and Sylmar this month.

The company plans to announce more locations in Arizona at a later date.
