Canada-based automated pizzeria brand PizzaForno has further expanded its overseas footprint by entering Mexico.

The company noted that its first 24/7 automated pizzeria is now open in Mexico City.

The pizza brand's entry into Mexico marks its second international market entry in the past two years.

It now has a presence in all three of North America's largest countries.

The company has signed a 20-unit agreement with master licensees Salomon Bialostozky and Jacko Duayhe.

The two plan to open 20 locations in the Mexico City area in 2024.

PizzaForno's reach will include Cancun, Guadalajara, Los Cabos, Monterrey, Puerto Vallarta and Puebla.

The company also plans to expand south of the border with more than 100 units, and to establish 25,000 operating units by 2028.

PizzaForno chief marketing officer Jason Lowder stated: “We're bringing delicious pizzas to Mexico, an underserved market, where customers are looking for fast, flavourful, hot meal options that they can access at any time of the day.

“As we continue to see excitement for our innovative brand, we look forward to continuing to grow our footprint across the globe.”

Established in 2018, PizzaForno is North America's only automated pizzeria and can prepare a pizza in under three minutes.

The brand offers pizzas 24/7 through its digital vending machines, 2,200 of which currently operate in Europe.

PizzaForno operates 61 locations in the US and is committed to more than 100 locations across the country.

In May 2023, it entered the Georgia market, launching three new locations in Atlanta.

The first of the three locations is planned in Atlanta’s Buckhead neighbourhood at 3861 Roswell Road. The other two will open this month around metro Atlanta.
