Fast food restaurant company A&W Canada has added a new line-up of Chicken Crunchers sandwiches to its menu.

This will be the company's first permanent menu addition since 2018.

The Chicken Crunchers line-up includes Nashville Hot Chicken Cruncher, Chubby Chicken Cruncher and BLT Chicken Cruncher.

The company said that each sandwich contains a five-ounce crispy yet juicy piece of chicken sandwiched between a toasted brioche-style bun.

Nashville Hot Chicken Cruncher comprises crispy and juicy breaded chicken with a spicy Nashville glaze, complemented by Chubby mayo and sweet bread and butter pickles.

Chubby Chicken Cruncher features the brand’s chubby mayo and layers of crisp whole-leaf lettuce.

The third variant, the BLT Chicken Cruncher, offers guests crunchy chicken and bacon, layers of crisp whole-leaf lettuce, sliced tomato and Chubby mayo.

The chicken crunchers will join the brand's burger line-up and other A&W classics and will be available across all A&W locations across Canada.

A&W Canada menu development director Karan Suri said: “Throughout my tenure at A&W as Director of Menu Development and Chef, I've passionately pursued crafting a chicken sandwich recipe packed with irresistible flavours that every Canadian's palate can enjoy.

“Our Chicken Cruncher sandwiches are a testament to this endeavour, featuring succulent and juicy chicken that satisfies every mouth-watering bite.”

In July this year, A&W introduced three frozen lemonades in Canada for the summer season (June to September).

The new beverage line-up consists of the Classic Frozen Lemonade, the Sweet Cream Frozen Lemonade and the Strawberry Frozen Lemonade.

Full-service restaurant (FSR) was the largest profit sector channel in Germany in 2022

The Germany foodservice profit sector generated revenue of EUR84.8 billion ($89.3 billion) in 2022, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of more than 11% during 2022-2027. FSR was the largest foodservice profit sector channel in 2022, reflecting the popularity of traditional fine-dining experiences among German consumers. Despite the highly fragmented market, pub, club & bar channel is set to record the highest growth during 2022–27, triggered by an increase in transactions and average transaction value.
