Bad Ass Coffee bolsters Nevada footprint with three-store deal

The first outlet is set to open in the second quarter of 2025, with another two planned in the following three years.

Coffee franchise Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has entered a new three-store agreement in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Entrepreneur John McGrail intends to launch the first outlet in the second quarter of 2025, with another two stores planned for the Northwest Valley markets within the following three years.

McGrail said: “I came across Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii while visiting Maui with my family early last year, and was really impressed by their focus on quality and authenticity.

"With my experience in franchising, I knew this was an opportunity to bring a premium coffee experience to my local community.

“Today, customers are looking for more than just affordable options—they want a place to indulge and enjoy a top-notch experience. I'm excited to offer that to the Las Vegas community, providing a space for people to enjoy exceptional coffee and connect.”

The coffee franchise is deepening its foothold in Nevada, aiming to broaden its reach across the Las Vegas area.

With an existing location already serving customers in Las Vegas and franchise agreements for eight more sites across the state, Bad Ass Coffee is preparing for substantial growth.

Its growth strategy will focus on key areas within the Las Vegas metropolitan region.

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii CEO Scott Snyder stated: “John's proven success in building and growing businesses, along with his multi-unit 7-Eleven experience, made him a strong fit for our continued expansion in the Las Vegas market.

"We're confident that the combination of John's enthusiasm for the brand and his commitment to building a strong operational model will also benefit our other franchisees in the Las Vegas market."

In February 2025, Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii announced its expansion plans for the year, with 23 new stores set to open, including six within the first six weeks.

Its previous year was described as “transformative”, seeing the brand not only exceed ts store growth goals but also record its best year ever for franchise sales.
