US-based restaurant brand Bagels & Co has unveiled plans to open 20 new locations across Pennsylvania and Florida.
The chain, known for offering flavours of cream cheese and Brooklyn-style bagels, noted that some of its locations offer indoor seating while others will feature outdoor patio seating.
Bagels & Co cafés will have a colourful display of more than 30 cream cheese flavours and digital menu boards featuring daily and weekly specials.
The new venues will offer guests a wide range of bagel varieties, such as French toast and cheddar habanero seasonal flavours, which are claimed to have been baked fresh daily on-site.
Its offerings also include New York-roasted coffee, tea and high-quality made-to-order sandwiches.
Bagels & Co, which is part of the Philadelphia-based restaurant group Glu Hospitality, noted that four Bagels & Co locations are currently operating in Philadelphia, with three more set to open this year.
Two more locations are also planned for South Florida: Fort Lauderdale and Wilton Manors.
Glu Hospitality COO Derek Gibbons said: “Our initial expansion will be in Florida and Pennsylvania, which we believe offer incredible growth opportunities for the Bagels & Co brand.
“Our future plans call for expanding beyond that to several states and eventually a national rollout.
Gibbons and business partner, former investment banker Mike Marsh, are responsible for expanding the brand's footprint.
Marsh said: “Bagels & Co is a true neighbourhood café that appeals to everyone, whether you are on your way to work or school, grabbing a quick bite, coming home from a workout or spending time with the family, we are ready to serve and all of our sandwiches are fresh and made-to-order.”
