US-based franchise restaurant chain Barberitos has expanded its menu with the launch of its Chicken Bacon Chipotle Ranch Quesadilla and Ghost Pepper Salsa items.

The restaurant brand noted that the two new additions will be available until January 2024.

Barberitos chief brand officer John Geyerman said: “Pushing the boundaries of creativity in the kitchen, we aim to provide our valued guests with a truly unique and unforgettable dining experience.

“The Chicken Bacon Chipotle Ranch Quesadilla is a flavourful creation that combines quality ingredients with our passion for creating memorable flavours and our Ghost Pepper Salsa adds an extra level of excitement to our menu.”

The Chicken Bacon Chipotle Ranch Quesadilla is made using seasoned grilled chicken, crispy bacon, chipotle ranch dressing and cheese, wrapped in a savoury flour tortilla.

Ghost Pepper Salsa has been launched for spice enthusiasts. The new dish features Heavy D Salsa, Tomatillo Salsa, ghost peppers, diced jalapeños and roasted garlic.

Barberitos was established in 2000 and offers made-to-order burritos, tacos, bowls and salads.

In May 2022, WOWorks, the parent company of Saladworks and Frutta Bowls, acquired Zoup! Eatery and Barberitos Southwestern Grille and Cantina (Barberitos).

Recently, WOWorks announced the launch of its new ghost kitchen platform, WOW Kitchens.

This new ghost kitchen offers select menu items from WOWorks’ fast casual brands and virtual concepts.

The prototype will be opened in San Francisco through a strategic partnership with a local franchisee.
