US-based Beans & Brews Coffeehouse has named Chad Gretzema as the company’s new CEO, according to a report by World Coffee Portal.

Prior to this appointment, Gretzema was associated with the Del Taco restaurant brand, where he held various leadership positions.

During his 12-year association with the brand, Gretzema served as the Del Taco Brand president, its strategic planning senior vice-president and its chief operating officer (COO).

World Coffee Portal quoted Gretzema as saying: “I couldn't be more excited to join Beans & Brews Coffeehouse as we accelerate growth. The brand has not only built a devoted following in its existing footprint but is also witnessing strong success as it expands to new states.

“With our proprietary high-altitude roasted coffee beverages, signature energy drinks and really attractive unit-level economics it is not surprising that the franchisee development demand is at an all-time high.”

With this new appointment, the Utah-based coffeehouse aims to further expand its presence in the country and open 100 stores by 2025.

Beans & Brews co-founders Jeff and Kevin Laramie explained that Gretzema will support the coffee chain brand’s growth.

Beans & Brews currently operates 69 venues in the US, spread across Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona and Texas.

The coffee chain recently struck a development deal, which would see the opening of 40 stores in San Antonio and Austin.

It also signed other franchise agreements to open new outlets in New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming.

In January 2021, Beans & Brews Coffeehouse received an investment from private equity firm Charger Investment Partners.

The size of the investment was not disclosed by the company.

Full-service restaurant (FSR) was the largest profit sector channel in Germany in 2022

The Germany foodservice profit sector generated revenue of EUR84.8 billion ($89.3 billion) in 2022, and is expected to grow at a CAGR of more than 11% during 2022-2027. FSR was the largest foodservice profit sector channel in 2022, reflecting the popularity of traditional fine-dining experiences among German consumers. Despite the highly fragmented market, pub, club & bar channel is set to record the highest growth during 2022–27, triggered by an increase in transactions and average transaction value.
