US-based BJ’s Restaurants has opened its first restaurant in the Rochester market in suburban Henrietta, New York.

The new BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is located on Jefferson Road in front of Market Square Shopping Center.

Covering an area of approximately 7,500ft², the new venue will have the capacity to accommodate 250 guests.

It will be offering its guests a wide variety of dishes ranging from BJ’s signature deep-dish pizza, handcrafted beer, and famous Pizookie dessert.

The restaurant brand noted that its new location features a contemporary décor to provide the perfect environment for all dining occasions.

BJ’s Restaurants president and CEO Greg Levin said: “We are thrilled to continue adding to our restaurants in New York, and with Rochester, we now have four locations in the state.

“Our Rochester restaurant is the fourth restaurant opening of the year. We remain confident in the opportunity for ongoing expansion, and our next opening and last of the year is scheduled for the beginning of October in Grand Rapids, Michigan.”

Before its grand opening, BJ’s opened its doors to the local community for a soft opening.

It noted that all proceeds from food and alcohol purchases during the soft opening event are donated to the BJ’s Restaurants Foundation.

In July this year, BJ’s Restaurants reported a net income of $11.93m for Q2 2023, a significant increase compared to a net income of $297,000 a year ago.
