Indian café and coffee brewing company Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters has opened its 100th café in Kolkata, in the state of West Bengal.
This latest opening comes ahead of the company's fiscal year 2024 (FY24) target, furthering its mission to offer a pan-India coffee experience.
Situated in the neighbourhood of Ballygunge, the new café will serve a selection of premium hot and cold beverages.
It will offer a wide variety of coffee styles including espresso, pour-over and Vietnamese-style iced coffee along with artisanal bakes and other food options.
Adding to the café's appeal is a partnership with Bahrisons Booksellers, featuring a bookstore on the first floor.
Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters co-founder and chief operating officer Shivam Shahi said: “With the increasing affinity for high-quality coffee, consumers are now actively seeking out-of-home coffee experiences that extend beyond just transactions and focus on the need for inclusive, safe spaces.
“Such experiences, when paired with a thoughtfully curated food menu and experiential offerings like workshops, have transformed the way people see coffee shops. Our growth in the last 12 months reflects the impending demand for go-to coffee spots and increasing brand loyalty.”
Since its inception in 2013, Blue Tokai now operates four roasteries and has a presence across nine states, with 60 stores in Maharashtra and Delhi.
The coffee house is planning to take its store count closer to 200 by the end of FY24.
