Mexican restaurant chain Bubbakoo’s Burritos is all set to open its newest location in Jonesboro, Georgia, US, QSR has reported.

The new eatery at 2091 Mount Zion Boulevard is scheduled to debut on January 8.

It is owned by Tapan Patel and it is his first venture with the brand.

It further also extends the brand's presence within the state and follows the opening of another Mexican-fusion restaurant concept outlet in Stockbridge.

The newest location will offer the company’s classic menu items such as Papi Hibachi and Nashville burritos, along with customisable entrees. The menu also uses fresh ingredients.

Tapan Patel said: “Bubbakoo’s is an established brand, and it has been for more than 15 years. It is exciting to take a concept with such a loyal following and build upon it within the Georgia market.

“The Jonesboro community deserves a restaurant concept that offers great food, a welcoming ambience and excellent service, and Bubbakoo’s will do just that.”

Bubbakoo’s Burritos co-founder Bill Hart said: “After the success of our location in Stockbridge and seeing the love for Bubbakoo’s in the community, we knew we wanted to continue to expand in Georgia. I have no doubt that Tapan will follow the high standards we have set and provide a fantastic dining experience for the Jonesboro community.”

Since its inception in 2008, Bubbakoo’s Burritos has established itself as a staple in the Mexican-fusion food sector.

It is now spread across more than 100 locations in the US.

Last May, the restaurant brand opened one location in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

Located at 174 Mundy Street, this restaurant is owned by Scott Brennan and Eric Spencer.
