American fast food restaurant chain Burger King is set to launch the Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap on 7 March 2024 in the US.

The Fiery Buffalo Royal Crispy Wrap features crispy white meat chicken breast fillet in a spicy Buffalo glaze with creamy Buffalo sauce.

It is then finished with tomato and lettuce and served in a warm tortilla.

The new addition is part of the Royal Crispy Wraps range, which has been available nationwide since August 2023 and features Classic, Spicy and Honey Mustard flavours.

In a parallel expansion, Burger King is also infusing the Fiery Buffalo flavour into its chicken nuggets.

The Fiery Nuggets are bite-sized white meat chicken pieces, coated in the same spicy Buffalo glaze.

Both the Fiery Buffalo wraps and nuggets will be available at participating Burger King restaurants across the nation for a limited time.

Burger King North America chief marketing officer Pat O’Toole said: “Since their initial launch to menus nationwide last year, our Royal Crispy Wraps quickly became the most popular limited-time offering (LTO) to hit Burger King menus in the US within the last four years.

“Despite being launched as an LTO, wraps are here to stay. And we’re excited to bring a new flavour to guests with Fiery Buffalo, which brings a tangy, buttery buffalo flavour with the perfect amount of spice.”

In January 2024, Burger King's parent company Restaurant Brands International (RBI) reached an agreement to acquire Carrols Restaurant Group for $1bn.

The all-cash transaction will see RBI purchasing all issued and outstanding shares of Carrols that it does not already hold for $9.55 per share.

RBI currently holds 15% of Carrols’s equity. It will proceed to acquire the remaining equity as part of the transaction.
