US-based fast casual restaurant franchise California Tortilla is set to expand its menu with the addition of Grill Melts.

The Grill Melts will be available in Sunset Chicken, BBQ Pork and Nacho Taco flavours. It will be available across all California Tortilla stores in the US from 18 October 2023.

The restaurant brand noted that the Sunset Chicken variant is made with grilled mesquite chicken, spicy sunset sauce and Pico de Gallo salsa.

The BBQ Pork version is prepared using pork carnitas, crisp slaw and BBQ sauce.

Nacho Taco, the third version of the Grill Melts, comprises taco beef, Pico de Gallo salsa and queso.

California Tortilla explained that each Grill Melt is a handcrafted crispy grilled tortilla with melted Jack cheese.

California Tortilla chief marketing officer Stacey Kane said: “We are so excited to introduce this new category for our brand. The Grill Melts are handcrafted and available in three signature recipes that we are delighted to share with our customers.

“These melts make it easier to enjoy our delicious flavours while on the go without the fuss of utensils.”

In addition to Grill Melts, guests can also purchase the restaurants' other offerings such as tacos, burritos, Chef's Bowls, quesadillas, salads and more.

California Tortilla offers dine-in, pickup, or delivery through online ordering and provides catering services.
