US-based fast-casual Tex-Mex restaurant chain Capital Tacos to open its first restaurant in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The restaurant brand has signed a franchise agreement with husband and wife duo David and Silvia Robertson.

The Tex-Mex restaurant will make its community debut between March and May 2024.

David said: “This truly feels like a full-circle moment. Silvia and I met working in a restaurant out in Las Vegas 30 years ago and now we're realising a dream and opening one together.

“And doing so with a brand that values menu quality and guest experience as highly as Capital Tacos reaffirms that this shift in lifestyle is the right move to make.”

Going forward, the husband and wife duo plans to open more locations throughout the Raleigh market.

Capital Tacos launched its franchise programme in early 2022. Since then, the company has expanded its presence beyond its Tampa home base.

The restaurant brand expanded its brick-and-mortar restaurants, which are either open or under development in Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver, Tulsa, Nashville, New Jersey, Raleigh and markets throughout Florida.

Capital Tacos co-founder Josh Luger said: “After having just debuted our first corporate-owned location in Charlotte, it's incredible to see the fervour for the franchise materialise across North Carolina so quickly.

“Both David and Silvia will make wonderful additions to the Capital Tacos franchise community and we can't wait to see them introduce some Tex-Mex #doneright to Raleigh in the near future.”
