American convenience store and pizza chain Casey's has introduced its latest culinary creation, the Jalapeño Popper Pizza, ahead of the 2024/25 football season.

The new offering combines Philadelphia Whipped Cream Cheese, a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, smoky bacon and mild pickled jalapeños, finished with Mike's Hot Honey.

Available by the slice at Casey’s stores and for whole pie orders online or via Casey’s app, the Jalapeño Popper Pizza is a limited-time offering.

Casey's has also introduced the option to add a drizzle of Mike's Hot Honey to any pizza ordered online.

Casey’s chief merchandising officer Tom Brennan said: “Casey’s new Jalapeño Popper Pizza is the latest evidence of our promise to lead the way in unexpected food innovations, proving that you can enjoy a delicious, boldly flavoured meal from a convenience store.

“Perfect for a football tailgate or game watch party, the Jalapeño Popper Pizza brings a fantastic twist to the classic appetizer and is guaranteed to leave you craving more.”

Established more than 50 years ago, Casey’s is now the third-largest convenience store chain and the fifth-largest pizza chain in the US.

It offers freshly prepared foods, including pizza, doughnuts, beverages and snacks.

In September 2024, Stellar Pizza, a company established by former SpaceX engineers, unveiled plans to introduce a robotic pizza-making machine in Los Angeles in 2025.

The machine is designed to produce a pizza every 45 seconds.

Founded in 2019, Stellar Pizza employs 23 people who previously worked at Elon Musk’s SpaceX.
