India-based quick service restaurant (QSR) tea chain Chai Sutta Bar (CSB) has opened its 500th location in Mumbai, according to reports by ET Hospitality World.
The new outlet opened in the Malad suburb of Mumbai, the country’s business capital city.
The publication quoted Chai Sutta Bar CEO Anubhav Dubey as saying: “We are incredibly proud to mark the opening of our 500th outlet in Mumbai.
“This milestone represents the dedication and hard work of our entire team and franchise partners and the overwhelming love and support from our consumers.
“Chai Sutta Bar has always been more than just a tea chain. As we expand our reach, our vision remains steadfast — to provide a warm and inviting space where tea lovers can connect, unwind and savour delightful tea flavours.”
Established in 2016, Chai Sutta Bar is known for offering its tea in traditional clay cups called ‘kulhads’. It currently operates across 300 Indian cities.
After reaching the 500-store milestone, the QSR brand plans to double its presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and foray into the Saudi Arabian market.
In February 2020, CSB opened its first outlet in Dubai and now plans to open three more locations across UAE by the end of 2023.
It also plans to expand its brand footprint in the UK, Canada and the US. By the end of this year, the company is set to open its outlet in Atlanta, Georgia.
