Chester’s Chicken launches Kentucky Bourbon Bites in US

The new menu addition will be available across all Chester's Chicken’s participating locations for a limited time.

US-based fried chicken restaurant chain Chester's Chicken has announced the nationwide launch of Kentucky Bourbon Bites at participating locations for a limited period.

These bites are a new addition to the menu, featuring marinated breast chunks that are breaded, fried, and then tossed in Cattlemen's Kentucky Bourbon BBQ sauce for a unique Southern taste.

The restaurant brand noted that its Kentucky Bourbon Bites are the latest offering from Chester's Chicken, following the success of their Honey Stung Chicken Bites, which outperformed the Sweet Chili Chicken Bites in a promotional contest last fall.

During this period, Chester's Chicken sold more than five million bites.

The new menu item is available as a standalone option or as part of a Bites Combo, which includes eight chicken bites, a small side, and a honey butter biscuit.

The Kentucky Bourbon Bites are priced at $7.49 while the Bites Combo is offered at $10.19, with prices subject to variation across different Chester's locations.

Chester's Chicken operates more than 1,300 active franchised and licensed outlets. The menu features bone-in chicken, super tenders, bites, sandwiches, and potato wedges, along with homestyle sides, dipping sauces, and desserts.

Chester's Chicken Marketing vice-president William Culpepper said: “Bites are a fan favourite at Chester's – so our innovation team is constantly testing new, fun flavour experiences to bring our guests.

“We've debuted several spicy flavours in the past, which do very well, but the bourbon flavour resonated best in our recent consumer testing, and we're excited to roll out these sweet, smoky, savoury bites nationally.”

In June 2023, Chester’s Chicken relaunched its fried chicken sandwich in the US. The chain said that the sandwich will come with a new bun and sauce.

The sandwich was made with a specially marinated and double-breaded whole breast fillet. It was topped with Chester’s bold and tangy sauce and crunchy crinkle-cut dill pickles, all served on a Martin's potato roll.
